New Folks at The Madison Sheriff Department
Ryan Gunter is a new hire by the Madison County Sheriff's Department.
This latest pick by John Ledford, even has his supporters baffled.
Mr. Gunter is the step son of Eddie Fox, Madison County commissioner.
Fox is registered Republican, but has followed the direction of Larry Leake for years.
Gunter's brother worked for the county in the past as a maintenance worker, but after a public
outcry he was dismissed from this position. His name is Cameron Gunter
Complaints consisted of alcohol and drug abuse and the inability to do his job.
Ryan Gunter has share of problems also. Most are in Buncombe County.
These charges consist of:
Worthless check - assault on a female- 2- failure to wear seat belts- speeding 77 in a 55 mph-
speeding 60 in a 45-
Not to mention the alleged drug use.
What is the difference between Bubba Goforth and his drug use and Cameron Gunter and brother
Ryan ?
What about Larry Wright and his past problems and his position at the Madison County Land-fill?
None of the above individuals should be working for any municipality.
In Madison County it doesn't matter if you have experience, education, morals or work ethic.
You must be in the right "Cast System".
Or you must, as CH coined it "Pay to Play".
All of the above characters fit the Madison NC County profile of work ethic. Does this follow the
Madison personnel policy?
Gunter fits in with the element that John Ledford- (Madison County Sheriff) seeks in employees.
Controllability -
John Ledford's sheriff' department only hires individuals that have past problems or that can be
controlled.
Scott Gaddy not only had a 10 year DWI conviction from Buncombe County but also has been
caught drinking and driving while in possession of a Madison County vehicle and while on the
clock for the Madison County Sheriff' department.
He was told to sleep it off , this coming from sources.
Is this why Lindsey Goforth was placed in this office?
Was this done to keep an eye on this drunk?
Yes, Lindsey Goforth is related to Denny Goforth.
But she also has some issues.
Lindsey Goforth until recently was driving a law enforcement vehicle from the Madison County
sheriff department?
She is not a certified officer.
Also, why was this vehicle parked on numerous occasions at the "Wings and Things" Bar and
Restaurant in Asheville?
Randy Bradford is now chief detective, taking over the position Gaddy held as "David One".
Bradford was captain for Bobby Medford x-sheriff of Buncombe County who has been convicted
of corruption and is now serving time in a federal prison.
Bradford was lovingly called "Dough-boy " by Medford.
Medford used Bradford to run money pick-ups to and from Jackie Shepherd.
Shepherd has also been convicted and sentenced in this Federal Sting.
Randy Bradford was fired from John Ledford's regime many years ago, while serving as chief
deputy and just recently was terminated by the Town of Marshall for no confirmed reason.
Bradford claimed the reason he was terminated by Ledford was because of another former
employee - by the name of Brenda Davis. Bradford claimed he wrote Davis up and Ledford was
upset and ordered him to tear up the papers, when Bradford refused Ledford fired him.
Our sources claim Bradford was fired after Ledford caught Davis and Bradford in an unexplainable
situation.
Davis often appeared at work, for the Madison Sheriff's department in mini skirts and was known
as the "Sheriff's girl".
She has since climbed the fame of the law enforcement totem pole, by marrying Ledford's best
friend Allan Page of the SBI.
Page has covered and defended Ledford for years.
Criminal law background doesn't always aid you in a common sense mind set.
Needless to say, Bradford and Ryan Gunter are unbelievable picks for an already waning sheriff's
department.

Many of you by now have watched WLOS's coverage of the arrest of Frank Roberts - a NC real
estate agent.
He was arrested for Animal cruelty and placed under a $20,000 bond.
Did you realize that, Frank Roberts was originally arrested back in May 2008 for the same act.
In fact it appears these are the same animals of question.
This man according to our sources has even been living in his car for the last year.
Where was the press in reporting this act? Wasn't Steve Garrison county manager in 2008?
Garrison had no problem with running to the DA and the press with the last Animal Control
director. Will the former director's charges be dropped just like Gene Ipox's - a democrat that
embezzled thousands of dollars from our county coffer?
Garrison also sits on the Madison County Animal Control Board.
Along with:
Carolyn Moser,- Elizabeth Ayers- Patricia Franklin-,Coy Griffin- Deborah Moore- Jeff Neill,
Teresa Ogle- Meg Pressley- Sam Lunsford, ex officio
Sammie Lunsford was appointed as the new Madison Animal Control director by the county
commissioners. Garrison recommended this appointment.
Lunsford now takes a position as another unqualified political appointee, by the Madison county
board of commissioners.
Lunsford's are very active in the Democratic party.
They are lovingly called the "White Trash Sector", by their own party.
This is as they hand much money over to the Democratic party.
Steve Garrison is very close to this hap hazard faction of Madison County's Democratic party and
has even worked with Ann Lunsford at the Buncombe County DSS.
He in fact encouraged her to apply for the Madison County Tax Collector position.
She has no college education and no formal tax experience. But, neither does the current Madison
County Village idiot- Chris Maney.
What needs to be addressed is why were these abused animals placed back into the hands of an
apparent mentally incapacitated individual?
Frank Roberts, in 2008 was given indigent status by the Madison County AOC.
He could not afford an attorney.
So are these new charges or are these old charges?
If these are new charges then the question becomes-who authorized that these abused animals be
returned into his care?
If these are the old charges, then why was this act covered up by the Madison County Animal
Control Board?
Was this to glorify our new Village Idiot -Sammy Lunsford?

Rumors fly in Madison County as fast as the Japanese beetles invade our crops.
John Ledford has been telling for years that he is going to work for the ALE in Raleigh, but that
has never transpired. He is now telling his Democratic constituents that he is just waiting for the
call.
What call...Doesn't Beverly Perdue's oversight committee evaluate these candidates?
John Ledford was implicated in a Federal government sting operation in 1998 when he was
employed by the ALE prior to becoming Madison County's sheriff.
Is the state of North Carolina due diligent in their hiring processes?
It appears not. An example would be the appointment of Buddy Harwood as a board member
for the "NC State Employee Credit Union", located in Marshall.
Harwood sits on this board for the Marshall chapter along with his good friend Roger Haynie.
A plaque of their names is located in the lobby, upon entering the building .
The building is located in down town Marshall.
Hasn't Buddy Harwood filed for bankruptcy?
Wasn't there an accusation of theft concerning Buddy Harwood when he worked for "Southern
Concrete" ?
How many filers of bankruptcy and bad credit end up on Boards of banks or credit unions?
Not any that I know of.
But the troubles for Madison County's Sheriff department does not end here.

New evidence emerging against the sheriff's department and the county commissioners.
Evidence has been forwarded to us about the current budget of sheriff John Ledford.
It appears John Ledford is way over his budget. He has sent several employees home that had
accrued excessive comp-pay.
He has also had to replace these employees with new hires. Now in order to do this and I
assume this was done through a budget amendment, it had to be approved by the commissioners.
So in retrospect the sheriff of Madison County is paying individuals, who wish to work to sit
at home and use up their alloted comp-pay while double paying for new employees.
This could cost the county thousand and thousands of dollars.
John Fouts oversees comp-pay for employees. Fouts lives in South Carolina and has a girlfriend
that runs the transportation department. This girl-friend and her mother have been anointed jobs
for years in Madison without proper credentials.
Fouts through Ledford and the commissioners are responsible for this debacle.
How many county's in North Carolina are allowed to run up comp-pay to this extreme?
We are talking about 5000 plus hours per employee.
Why hasn't the state been notified of this or have they?
This is not the only problem for John Ledford. Because of the loss of some of his employees
Reverend Harwood has been given more authority over the current law enforcement officers.
Harwood has added more responsibilities for Coy Phillips.
Phillips and now Jimmy Miller the former town clown of Marshall are roaming the streets of
Madison at night. Below are some recent pictures of Coy Phillips - these were taken in Hot
Springs notice Mr. Phillips is drunk and shoe less wearing a "Police " tee-shirt.

You expect behavior like this out of high-school children but not law enforcement. The real
question is...who is minding the masses at the sheriff's department?
And don't you feel safe with these drunken law enforcement officers prowling your streets at
night.

for Kevin or Dennis Rector.
They operate a business named "KDR Electric", which curiously does not have a listing with
the secretary of states office. Dennis Rector is married to Susan Rector - register of deeds. He
also works as an engineer installing Electric poles for French Broad.
We were notified because many individuals have been solicited for electric services while Rector
was installing electricity for French Broad. Does this sound ethical to you?
KDR electric has also done work for Carolyn Moser - director of Madison Health Department.
Where is the county building inspector? Are these individuals installing electric services in
county facilities without being registered with the secretary of state?

Jail project dead at this time, Eddie Fox drawing revenue from county, and new book out about
the old Vista worker murdered by Madison county's citizens back in the 70's.
Now tell us doesn't this remind you of the movie "Deliverance"?
The jail project has been put on hold by the county commissioners. This coming on the heels of
public outcry. Looks like there are three commissioners coming up for election this next year
and this would definitely send all three packing.
But don't think this subject will go away because Ledford wants this jail and he wants it bad.
The county was ready to pull a fast one until Ledford's own mistakes prevented this action.
Let me elaborate...In order for this county to follow through with a General Obligation bond the
county taxpayers would have to vote on this issue in a bond referendum.
This county's commissioners tried to get around this by implementing a combination bond of
General obligations and Revenue obligations thus keeping the taxpayers and voters from having
the right to vote on this measure.
The difference between a general obligation and a revenue obligation bond is in the type of
collection of pay back monies.
Ledford has always claimed and I say claimed lightly , that the jail could pay for itself.
He feels that the jail could make payments through the housing of Federal prisoners.
Ledford has lost the federal contract for inmates just in the last few months. Therefore
preventing him from securing a revenue bond in part to pay for the jail.
This was a con set up by Ledford- Leake- Charles Tolley and the commissioners.
It backfired when the Federal officials found black mold in the jail facilities.
This bond was to be set up to be an unlimited "GO" bond which means that the county can tax
at will for an unlimited amount in order to secure payment for this facility.
Remember French Broad electric is set up under a revenue premise, Tolley is a former
employee of this company.
Needless to say all taxpayers should be watchful of the next attempt to secure tax dollars for
this exorbitant issue.
The schools are losing money and will have their hand out at the next budget hearing.
Lets see if the new county manager has educated himself to budget preparation, this is a General
statute requirement. Or is Michael Worley going to prepare the budget as he has always?
It has been reported that Eddie Fox is receiving tax dollars in the addition of $20,000.
Maybe this is why his and Elsberry Wyatt's neighbor, Steve Garrison was hired as county
manager.
Fox has been in trouble before under the "Hatch Act" for violations of public trust due to the
fact he received money while serving as a county commissioner and fire marshal.
He was sanctioned, but did he return the money? Who knows for Darlyne Rhinehart cooks the
books and traditionally taken orders from Larry Leake.
All three of these commissioners running in the 2010 election need to be replaced by new blood
not Democrat or Republican cronies looking to pad their pockets with hard earned tax dollars.
This is why this county is in the shape it is in ..It has been run for years by corrupt politicians.
Back in 1970 a young "Vista" worker was murdered in Hot Springs, this has never been solved
in fact it appears that it was covered up. E Y Ponder who ran on the premise that he would
solve this embarrassing case. John Ledford claims this Vista worker was involved in a sex act ,
that perpetuated the tying of tomato string which eventually claimed her life.
SIUE graduate Nancy Dean Morgan still haunts the life of nationally known journalist Mark I.
Pinsky. Who has recently finished a book on the story.
The only problem, with Ledfords criminal annalist is the farmers knots used to tie this young
woman up. Hog tying has been used for centuries to tie and slaughter animals for travel and
slaughter. I doubt Nancy Morgan would be aware of this.
So this excuse lies only with the ignorant that fall for it. As a military retiree, I often witnessed
this type of restraint for prisoners. In fact , law enforcement use this quite often in transport of
volatile criminals.
A jailed Madison County man, son of the former police chief of Hot Springs, N. C., who was an
ally of E. Y. Ponder, twice confessed to his role in the Morgan abduction and murder. The man
has also named four others in connection with the murder. One of the men is dead, two are
missing but Pinsky has been able to locate the fourth.
The names of the witnesses are as follows: Blanche Gosnell Tweed, Donna Gosnell, Jackie
Tweed.

Jail project dead at this time, Eddie Fox drawing revenue from county, and new book out about
the old Vista worker murdered by Madison county's citizens back in the 70's.
Now tell us doesn't this remind you of the movie "Deliverance"?
The jail project has been put on hold by the county commissioners. This coming on the heels of
public outcry. Looks like there are three commissioners coming up for election this next year
and this would definitely send all three packing.
But don't think this subject will go away because Ledford wants this jail and he wants it bad.
The county was ready to pull a fast one until Ledford's own mistakes prevented this action.
Let me elaborate...In order for this county to follow through with a General Obligation bond the
county taxpayers would have to vote on this issue in a bond referendum.
This county's commissioners tried to get around this by implementing a combination bond of
General obligations and Revenue obligations thus keeping the taxpayers and voters from having
the right to vote on this measure.
The difference between a general obligation and a revenue obligation bond is in the type of
collection of pay back monies.
Ledford has always claimed and I say claimed lightly , that the jail could pay for itself.
He feels that the jail could make payments through the housing of Federal prisoners.
Ledford has lost the federal contract for inmates just in the last few months. Therefore
preventing him from securing a revenue bond in part to pay for the jail.
This was a con set up by Ledford- Leake- Charles Tolley and the commissioners.
It backfired when the Federal officials found black mold in the jail facilities.
This bond was to be set up to be an unlimited "GO" bond which means that the county can tax
at will for an unlimited amount in order to secure payment for this facility.
Remember French Broad electric is set up under a revenue premise, Tolley is a former
employee of this company.
Needless to say all taxpayers should be watchful of the next attempt to secure tax dollars for
this exorbitant issue.
The schools are losing money and will have their hand out at the next budget hearing.
Lets see if the new county manager has educated himself to budget preparation, this is a General
statute requirement. Or is Michael Worley going to prepare the budget as he has always?
It has been reported that Eddie Fox is receiving tax dollars in the addition of $20,000.
Maybe this is why his and Elsberry Wyatt's neighbor, Steve Garrison was hired as county
manager.
Fox has been in trouble before under the "Hatch Act" for violations of public trust due to the
fact he received money while serving as a county commissioner and fire marshal.
He was sanctioned, but did he return the money? Who knows for Darlyne Rhinehart cooks the
books and traditionally taken orders from Larry Leake.
All three of these commissioners running in the 2010 election need to be replaced by new blood
not Democrat or Republican cronies looking to pad their pockets with hard earned tax dollars.
This is why this county is in the shape it is in ..It has been run for years by corrupt politicians.
Back in 1970 a young "Vista" worker was murdered in Hot Springs, this has never been solved
in fact it appears that it was covered up. E Y Ponder who ran on the premise that he would
solve this embarrassing case. John Ledford claims this Vista worker was involved in a sex act ,
that perpetuated the tying of tomato string which eventually claimed her life.
SIUE graduate Nancy Dean Morgan still haunts the life of nationally known journalist Mark I.
Pinsky. Who has recently finished a book on the story.
The only problem, with Ledfords criminal annalist is the farmers knots used to tie this young
woman up. Hog tying has been used for centuries to tie and slaughter animals for travel and
slaughter. I doubt Nancy Morgan would be aware of this.
So this excuse lies only with the ignorant that fall for it. As a military retiree, I often witnessed
this type of restraint for prisoners. In fact , law enforcement use this quite often in transport of
volatile criminals.
A jailed Madison County man, son of the former police chief of Hot Springs, N. C., who was an
ally of E. Y. Ponder, twice confessed to his role in the Morgan abduction and murder. The man
has also named four others in connection with the murder. One of the men is dead, two are
missing but Pinsky has been able to locate the fourth.
The names of the witnesses are as follows: Blanche Gosnell Tweed, Donna Gosnell, Jackie
Tweed.
